MODULE 1:Light Therapy Basics
Your CLT journey begins with a comprehensive overview of the history and practice of using Light to bring the body back to health. This module also includes an introduction to the various types of Light Tools and their applications – such as Photobiomodulation and Photopuncture.
MODULE 4:Understanding Light
We all recognize light whether it comes from the sun, or a lamp. But which colors are beneficial to living cells and why? Why are some colors absorbed and others not? Which are the best color to use in Light Therapy?
MODULE 7:Pulsing Light - Frequency
Simply absorbing the needed energy of a photon can benefit cells. But how can pulsing that light change how the body reacts? Which frequencies are used and why?
MODULE 8:Cleanse**Nourish**Balance
How can you actually address a wide variety of physical complaints for humans and animals without a medical degree and extensive training? By helping support the body’s ability to heal itself when giving the right conditions. As a Light Therapist, our job isn’t to diagnose or treat specific diseases or disabilities. MODULE 6:Required PBM Light
Science is beginning to understand how much Light you actually need to stimulate a beneficial reaction in living cells. But manufacturers often give little, or disingenuous, information about how much light their tools are providing. Here you learn to discern how much is “enough” and not “too much” light.
MODULE 8:3 Not all Pain is the Same
Pain Hurts. Or does it? Not all pain is a direct signal from an area in distress. Here you will explore how to look at types of pain and how to use different Light Therapy approaches to alleviate them.

What's the difference between this program and all the other similar programs?
The PTI Certified Light Therapist course allows you to add additional modules for helping Horses and Pets.
In addition to the online materials, you can email instructors directly from the courses, attend live weekly educational webinars, & attend bi-monthly coaching session, as well as active Facebook communities where you can receive additional assistance.
Does this course include Light Therapy Tools?
No. The Certified Light Therapist course is independent of any specific manufacturer or type of Light Therapy tool.
You can use the tools you already have (if you can quantify the wavelengths and output of the device) or we can assist you with finding the best tools to use for your business.
You may find that the best approach combines a variety of tools.
Do I get lifetime access to the course material?
Of course! As long as you remain a member of PTI in good standing, you have access to the course and any updates that are added.

What is the Course Format?
The Certified Light Therapist course is completely online. It is a combination of written materials, videos and interactive exercises designed to teach the principals of using Light as a therapeutic modality.
The online is augmented by attending our live weekly “Office Hours” webinars or watching their recordings.
The final step it so put your training into action with a Hands-On Practicum.
When does the course begin and end?
The CLT course is entirely online and starts as soon as you are ready. You study at-your-own-pace and according to your own schedule. You are finished when you have completed the materials, quizzes, and hands-on practicum.
Some students complete in as little as 2 weeks, others have needed a full year due to time constrictions.
Do I have to take a test?
Yes. In order to receive independent Certification you must pass an exam provided by the IBPBM - International Board of Photobiomodulation.
The CLT course is interspersed with quizzes and exercises designed to teach you the basics of Light Therapy. Once you can pass these quizzes you have everything you need to pass the independent exam.
What is the refund policy?
You have until the end of the Light Therapy Basics module, or 14 days after purchase to decide that this program does not meet your needs. Simply contact PTI at that point and we will refund your investment.
Is this course transferrable?
You can purchase this course for another person and transfer it to their name and contact details as long as you have not consumed more than the first “Light Therapy Basics” module.
Do I need a College Degree?
Absolutely not. The CLT Program is open to any High School or GED graduate over the age of 16.
